the idea \\ Why let just one day be dedicated to the Earth? This project makes every day Earth Day by raising awareness of the realities of our planet's situation and promoting mindfulness of the impact we have in our daily lives

the mission \\ Why celebrate the earth just once a year? Let's make every day earth day. It doesn't have to be huge parades and dramatic displays of hippy tree love, but it does have to make a difference. One less plastic cup, one less trip in your gas-guzzling car, one less consumer funding a selfish corporation. All the little things that we do every day without thinking about it. So let's think about it! Let's talk and connect and make change for the better.

why \ Climate change is happening and environmental catastrophes are escalating, but the solutions to our problems are overwhelming and most people don't know where to begin.

how \ The Earth Year Project works to decrease the overwhelming nature of fighting climate change by providing bite-size chunks,  with the Earth Year Challenge.

marina \ I've been overwhelmed by the endless horrors of climate change for too long. I refuse to keep sticking my head in the sand and hoping someone else will solve our problems.

a little more \ The Earth Year Project aims to reduce the stress and overwhelming nature of fighting climate change. The first idea for the Project came when founder Marina learned that Earth Day 2020 will be the 50th anniversary of the first Earth Day event ever. With 50 years of environmental activism behind us, what do we have to show for it? Well, a lot, actually (EPA, clean water act and so much more). But it still hasn't been enough. We hope to encourage small changes in everyday life for our readers. Follow along on Marina's blog to hear about her journey, or read below on the Earth Year blog to see what's new. The idea is to create a community in which to share what we learn as we change our lives for the planet, and to inspire as many of our friends to do the same. Want to see updates in your inbox?
